William Johnson

William Blake Johnson passed away on January 12, 2021 in Littleton, Colorado. Blake was born on August 29, 1995 in Denver to Brook and Nancy Johnson. He graduated in 2014 from Dakota Ridge High School and was pursuing a degree in philosophy from the University of Colorado. Blake was a talented athlete and played baseball and football all throughout his school years. His love of the game led Blake to become a baseball umpire in 2011. Sports officiating was one of Blakes passions. He was a skilled, dedicated official for hundreds of baseball, football, and basketball games over the next ten years. He aspired to be a Major League umpire someday. Blake had an incredible mind and a quest for knowledge from a very young age. He was always able to see the other person’s point of view and loved a good philosophical debate. Blake loved the great outdoors and hiking and fishing in the mountains. He loved listening to hip hop music and wrote pages and pages of his own lyrics to new songs. Blake had an odd sense of humor and a wonderful laugh. Blake was a treasured friend to many and a devoted brother, son, and grandson. His strong will and sweet spirit will be missed forever.
Blake is survived by his loving parents and brother Hayden, grandparents Jamie Johnson and Jerry and Betty Nittler, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He is preceded in death by his sister Leah and grandfather, Bill Johnson.
