William ""Bill"" Johns

 

Johns, William (Bill), age 71, of Denver, Colorado passed away surrounded by family on April 6, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born in Denver to Henry and Vera Johns, on February 18, 1949. Bill graduated from Cathedral High School in Denver and The University of Colorado in Boulder. He served on active duty with the US Navy from 1969 to 1973 followed by 20 years as a Navy Reservist, and was a Vietnam Veteran. He worked in numerous businesses as an accountant, computer programmer, taxi driver and retail associate. He belonged to numerous dance groups over the years where he danced swing, two step and salsa.

Bill is survived by his two children, Justin and Julia, sister Susan Fultz, brother Pat Johns, sister Celine (Jim) Johnson, nieces and nephews, Sherra Fultz, David Fultz, Steve (Heather) Johnson, Paul (Audrey) Johnson, great-nephew Mikey Johnson, along with numerous cousins and friends.

Bill's life will be celebrated with a Catholic Mass on Thursday, July 23rd at 3:00 PM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 2626 East 7^th Avenue Parkway. He will be buried in a private ceremony with military honors at Fort Logan.
