William John Hilton

William John Hilton, 75, of Unincorporated Arapahoe County, Colorado passed away on Saturday, August 24, 2019. William was predeceased by his parents, John Hilton and Susanna Johnson/Ore Hilton. He is survived by his wife, Mildred Freeney-Hilton; children, Paul Hilton, Darren Hilton, Carolyn Hilton, and Stephanie Hilton; grandchildren, Paulatanesha Montgomery, Charlotte Hilton-Miney, and Josephine Hilton-Miney; great grandchildren, Rhea Moore, and Savannah McCollum; and sisters, Betty Greer (Ernest), Radell Taylor, Delores Kyser.

William’s Educational/Professional Timeline:

1963 Graduated from John Marshall High School, Chicago, Illinois
Lt. Col. of the ROTC.

1967 Graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago Campus
Bachelor of Arts in English

1969 Graduated from the University of Illinois, Chicago Campus
Master of Arts in English

1970-1980 Worked for the Illinois State Scholarship Commission in Chicago, Illinois

1980-1985 Worked for the Education Commission of the States in Denver, Colorado.

1985-1987 Worked in Computer Sales at Computerland

1988-2009 Worked as a Technical Writer/Editor for Mountain Bell, Raytheon and Xilinx Corporations.

He also ran his own consulting business Hilton and Associates. The main focus of his business was writing business plans.

 

A committal ceremony will be held at Rocky Mountain Memorial Park, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 11AM.
