Obituary

William D. “Bill” Brown, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2026 in Westminster, Colorado. He was a Colorado native, born in Denver, Colorado on June 28, 1954, to the late Delbert and Thelma (Richling) Brown.

Bill attended Schmitt Elementary and Lincoln High School excelling in mathematics. He liked motorcycles and cars and enjoyed taking his Mustang to drag races with his brother Steve. Bill loved hunting deer, antelope and elk and was a huge Broncos fan (even in their not-so-good years). Additionally, he always had room for a little dog on his lap.

After marrying and moving to Colorado Springs he became a dad to Shawn and Dawn. Bill worked for King Soopers in Colorado Springs, and the Denver metro area, for over 25 years in various roles and retired as a manager.

In 1981 Bill met Linda and more adventures began. They took vacations to Mexico and loved heading to the mountains. They enjoyed a rich marriage filled with kids, grandkids, family, friends and wonderful memories for 44 years.

Bill is survived by his loving wife, Linda Brown; children Dawn Cordova of Aurora, CO; Shawn Brown of Aurora, CO; Dave Krause of Laramie, WY; brother Steve (Kathy) Brown; grandchildren Ghita, Caroline, Greenlee; as well as many friends and family members.

The funeral will take place at Horan and McConaty on Wednesday, June 17, 2026. Visitation from 9:00am – 10:00am, service from 10:00am – 11:00am, and burial immediately following at Broomfield County Commons Cemetery.
