William Daniel Bernatow (Dan) died on July 29th, 2016 at his home in Henderson, Colorado. He was 42. Dan loved every moment with his kids and they were his greatest love and joy. He truly enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a loving, loyal, supportive dad, son, brother, uncle and friend. When you needed something he was right there with a supportive shoulder and/or tools. Dan was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying providing for his family by hunting and fishing. In most cases, he out hiked those that hunted with him. His words of encouragement were frequently, ""We rest on flat land."" Little did newcomers understand that he didn't mean you'd stop up there, just that the walking got easier. He will be sorely missed and we hope that he has finally found true rest. He is survived by his sons Joseph Bernatow, Andrew Bernatow, and Jesse Bernatow, his parents James and Nancy Bernatow, brother Jeff Bernatow, sister Jen Bernatow-Parsons, sister in law Kim (Redd) Bernatow, nephews Josiah Parsons, Mason Bernatow, and Dustan Bunyard, and nieces Kassandra Parsons and Jasmine Parsons. A funeral service will be held Thursday, August 4th at 12:00 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Northglenn, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, please donate to our fund at https://www.gofundme.com/2hajfy4 which will enable his siblings and parents to help continue to provide for Dan's sons and their future.
