Wanda Secora

Wanda Louise Secora, age 94, passed away in Littleton, CO on February 25, 2023. Born on February 13, 1929 in Denver, CO, Wanda spent many fulfilling years on this earth. After graduating from University of Colorado, she married fellow education major George Secora. She enjoyed a long career as an elementary school teacher, spending 3 years in Alaska and 26 years in Denver Public Schools. Wanda was proud of her 3 sons and enjoyed attending their sporting events as they were growing up. Throughout her life, she found joy in reading her Bible, involvement in her church, travel adventures, and spending time with family, friends, and her dogs.

Wanda deeply valued the relationships in her life. Her love for storytelling, her great sense of humor, her lightheartedness, and her joy were evident to all those who knew her. She always chose to see the best in people and her situations, a true embodiment of the verse Phil 4:8 “Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.”

She is survived by her sons Steve, Gary, and Greg, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
