W. Ruth Harris

W. Ruth Harris, 80, of Aurora passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 22, 1937 she was the daughter of the late Charles and Esther Madison. Ruth married Walter Harris and together they shared 53 wonderful years of marriage. Ruth graduated high school at 16 to then became a pediatric and geriatric nurse who enjoyed a successful career serving others. She was a beautiful, strong, and vibrant woman that would call upon her faith during life’s struggles. Ruth also had a huge heart that welcomed everyone into her home and was a mother to many. Her greatest joy was giving gifts and spending time with family and friends. Ruth is survived by her children, Keith (Erica) Gregory, De Anne (Karim) Harris-Muhammad, Johanna (Orin) Goodings-Paul, Bill (Kathy) Barstnar, Eric (Dena) Figueroa, Karyn (Brian) Hoffman; grandchildren Megan (Rafael) Mendoza, Aliya Muhammad, Soleil Muhammad, Jonathan Gregory, Bathsheva Paul, Matt Barstnar, Bekah Barstnar, Louie Figueroa, Monique Figueroa, Glenn Figueroa, Ben Hoffman, Rachael Hoffman, Abigail Hoffman; great grandchildren Jonathan Gregory, Jaxon Lucas, Adrian Mendoza, and Penelope Rose Barstnar; and her loving sister Charlesetta Bruno. A Celebration of Life for Ruth will be held on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 10AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014.
