Vivian Riojas

Vivian Odelia Riojas, devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend was born on July 21, 1953 in Trinidad, Colorado and went home to the kingdom of our creator on October 30, 2021 at the age of 68.

She is survived by her loving family; mother, Mary Hayes; sisters, Antoinette Gonzales and Delores Padilla; children, Joseph Coronado (Rhonda), Felicia Ann Martinez (Sammy), and Victor Martinez; grandchildren, Rebecca Deacon, Nicholas Dilka, Joseph Coronado Jr., Jarred Coronado, Jacob Goetz, Terrance Goetz, Jazzmin Coronado, Logen Goetz, and Gabriel Martinez; great grandchildren, Aidyn Deacon, Trinity Dilka, Annabelle Dilka, Elyse Deacon, Nikaela Dilka, Ezperanza Goetz, Chaynce Deacon, Jeremiah Goetz, Eris Coronado, Mateo Goetz, and Nolan Coronado Bello; and a large extended family. Vivian is preceded in death by her granddaughter Odelia Marie Goetz.

Vivian was the kind of person that could change your whole day. You could be in the worst of moods and have one conversation with her and feel so much better. Her laugh was the kind you can hear in your head just thinking of her, and her radiating energy filled even the largest of rooms. You could hear her high heels clacking wherever she went, and you knew just by that noise that she had her signature red lipstick on and was dressed to the nines. She was the bridge that connected us all in times of division and solitude, and you knew that no matter what happens in life you always had a place in her home with good food and the kind of hug that felt like you could just melt in her arms. She loved her family so deeply, only the way a mother could. The kind of love that will be missed by all.

A Viewing for Vivian will be on Friday, November 5, 2021 from 3:00 - 6:00pm in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel at 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021 at 10:00am at Shrine of St. Anne Catholic Church at 7555 Grant Place, Arvada.
