V. Lee Hutsler, 89, of Aurora, Colorado, was called home to be with the Lord on April 17, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.
Born on September 7th, 1935, in Circleville, Ohio, Lee was the beloved child of Boyd Horn and Viva Rader. She grew up in Circleville and accepted the Lord and Savior at an early age. She served as a faithful member of the Community of Grace church.
Lee attended school at National College, where she met and married Charles Hutsler, who became an Air Force Chaplain and remained a faithful, loving wife of 69 years.
Lee lived a life rooted in faith, love, and service. She loved to quilt, and Lee was instrumental in the formation and survival of Smoky Hill Quilt Club. She started the Quilts of Valor program at Smoky Hill that donated quilts to veterans, and she always encouraged other members to enter their quilts in the Arapahoe County Fair. Lee was also a board member of the Colorado Quilt Council. Lee, being creative and decorative, also enjoyed brass rubbing and decoupage in her prior years.
Lee is survived by her husband, Charles Hutsler. They were blessed with three children, Kerry Hutsler (Raquel), Kelly Hutsler and Kelby Hutsler (Sherri). They were also blessed with 17 grandchildren (Josh (Katie), Arielle (Nicholas), Ada (Mitchell), Lillian, Anais (Zach), Melissa, Sam (Kaitie), Annika, Bryce, Jaymes, Kelby Jr (Katy), Claire, Xander, Isabella, Jacob, Eli, Joelle) and 7 great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Community of Grace Children’s Ministry in Lee Hutsler’s memory.
Romans 5:3-5
3 We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. 4 And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. 5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.
