Violet Hutchins

Violet Hutchins, 87, passed away Nov. 4, 2014. She was born Jan. 2, 1927 in Ashley, ND to Margaret Fiechtner and Gottlieb Nitschke. Violet is survived by her three children: Denise (Iles) Cook, Michael Iles and Sherry Bernard ; four grandchildren: Crystal Schell, Brittany Turner, Ryan and Micaela Cook and three great-grandchildren: Steven Arroyo, Jordan and Jackson Schell . She was proceeded in death by her husband Frank Iles and great great granddaughter Lilly Arroyo. She was a fun loving and outgoing person who could start up a conversation with anyone anywhere. She was caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She and her companion, Harold Elston, loved to travel and visited many places around the globe including Europe, China and Vietnam. She loved to dance and sing, and was a regular at the Saturday night dances thrown by the Elks Club. She also expressed herself creatively through sculpture, which her family treasures.
