Vincent Cervantes, Jr.

July 13, 1962 — February 20, 2021

Vincent Cervantes Jr, age 58, passed away February 20, 2021 in Mansfield, Tx. He was born on July 13, 1962 and raised in San Antonio, Tx where he was active with family in sports at St Paul’s church, various activities and attended schools, including Thomas Jefferson High School. After a family move to Beaumont Tx, Vince attended Forest Park High and was a 1980 graduate. The family then moved to Denver, Colorado in 1981 where Vince continued his education and studied electronics at CDI College. Because of his love for learning he continued to advance his knowledge and career by earning many certificates and working towards more degrees. His passion for electronics led him to a career in that field, including over 20 years in IT. In 2017, his career path took him in a new direction when he earned his CDL and began driving long haul for FEDEX with his newly wed wife, Esther.

Vince was a loving, caring, generous and compassionate man who loved God, his wife, his family, friends, animals and all Texas sports teams - especially the Texas Longhorns and the Dallas Cowboys. He loved Texas and his dream was to one day return where his heart remained. That dream was realized in 2019 when he and his wife moved to the DFW area, where they purchased their home in Mansfield in July of 2020. Vince was always goal-oriented and ready to help anyone in need, is loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Vince is survived by his wife, Esther Cervantes, parents, Vincent Sr and Diana Cervantes, sister Gina Cervantes Sellers, brothers Tony (Stacey) and Richard (Dagi Jess) Cervantes, three stepsons, and one step-grandson, many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is also survived by a son, a daughter, and a granddaughter from a previous marriage.
