Victor James Brown passed away at his home in Aurora, Colorado in early May at the age of 58. He was born in Boise, Idaho on October 26, 1965, the son of Kathryn Brown and Marlin Brown, who preceded him in death. Vic is survived by his mother Kathryn and his sibling, Lori Brown Brekke (Jerry Brekke) who reside in Meridian, Idaho. Vic was the father of two adult children Amanda Brown (Ben Shatz) and Ashley Brown who reside in Colorado, and the grandfather of Landon and Evelyn Ryan. He is survived by his son Michael, 14, who resides in the Denver area. He is also survived by his fiancé Odile Mbana.
Vic’s parents moved from Boise to Meridian where Vic graduated from Meridian High School in 1984. Upon graduation, he joined the Air Force where he made some life-long friends. He remained in the Air Force for eight years and then returned to Idaho where he started his career in computer technology at Micron. He later moved to the Denver area of Colorado and was most recently employed at APG Aircraft as a QA manager.
Vic was always sports-oriented starting with his early days in youth football. In high school, he continued playing football and enjoyed waterskiing with his family. Later he took up the sport of golf. He also was a sports spectator and he and his son Michael were fans of the Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos, and the Boise State University Broncos.
Services will be held graveside at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday, May 22 at 9:30 a.m.
