Veronica Grace Hackett Lostak, 90, formerly of Littleton, Colorado, passed away in Dallas, Texas on August 28, 2024.
Veronica, affectionately known as “Ronnie” to many, was born in New Brunswick, New Jersey on July 6, 1934, to Willard Charles and Grace Eleanor McCloskey Hackett. She attended Catholic School for her childhood education and took college courses in Colorado.
Ronnie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Ronnie married Charlie in September of 1954 and lived in Washington, D.C., briefly, before returning to reside in New Jersey until 1972. Charlie’s career transferred him to Colorado. Charlie and Ronnie were thrilled to start their new adventure in Colorado with their four children. They loved their new home and the opportunities that awaited them.
Ronnie worked as an Executive Secretary for over 25 years at an international building insulation company. She touched the lives of many with her kindness, generosity, and compassion. She was a community volunteer, active in her church, gifted writer and happy to be involved.
Charlie and Ronnie loved to travel the world and instilled the love of travel in their children. A few memorable trips included New Zealand, China, Bali, and Europe. They never tired of the adventures of travel.
Ronnie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Lostak in 2001, her brother, Jerry Hackett and sister, Joyce Ciccerella.
She is survived by her four children: Charles Lostak (Chris Baker), Cheryl Lostak Ryan (Dan), Gary Lostak (Peter Milward), and Mark Lostak (Mary); five grandchildren; Eric Ryan (Kathleen Casanova), Michael Ryan, Alex Lostak (Megan), Bradley Lostak and Grace Lostak-Baker; and two great-grandchildren, Zoey Grace Ryan and Eli Ryan.
