V. L. Howard, 80, went home to be with the Lord January 22, 2014. Beloved husband of Mary; father of Bryan David (Christine) Howard and David John (Valerie) Howard; step father of Douglas Raymond (Lara) Ringwald, Susan Jean (Rick) Edwards and Bradley James (Jennifer) Ringwald; grandfather of Savanah, Seth and Dominic; step grandfather of Katie, Gavin, Elijah, Kayla, Tyler, Dylan and Emily; brother of James (the late Dean) Howard, Erma (the late John) Wood, Edna Lancaster, Mavis Vincent and Ruby Frank; and uncle of several nieces and nephews. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2:30 PM with the Funeral Service to follow at 3:30 PM - both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue in Aurora.
