With hearts full of sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved Traci Lynn (Schilling) Lacrue, who left this world peacefully on September 2, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Traci was a devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her warmth, humor, and compassion touched everyone she met. With her magnetic personality and radiant smile, she lit up every room and made people feel truly seen and cared for.
Born in Denver and raised in Parker, Colorado, Traci graduated from Ponderosa High School in 1990. She went on to build a successful career in human resources within the mortgage industry, where her vibrant spirit and kindness left a lasting impression on colleagues and clients alike. Above all else, she was most proud of being a loving mother to her daughter, Alli, and a doting GT to her grandson, Raiden.
In 2021, Traci followed her heart and moved to Costa Rica with just two suitcases to embrace her dream of living Pura Vida by the ocean. Those years were a cherished chapter of her life, filled with peace, beauty, and the spirit of the ocean she had always longed for.
Traci is survived by her loving mother and brother, Linda Schilling and Troy Schilling; her daughter, Alli Maliske; her treasured grandson, Raiden Maliske. She also leaves behind Ray Perry, a very special friend and love, along with her devoted circle of Emotional Support Chicks and countless friends who were blessed to know her. She was preceded in death by her father, George Schilling, with whom she shared an especially close bond. As well as her loving Grandparents Lyda & Max Stennett.
Traci’s life was marked by kindness, laughter, and a boundless energy to live fully. She built deep and lasting connections wherever she went, and her legacy will be remembered in the love she gave so freely and the joy she brought to others.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, October 6, at 1:00 p.m. at the Boathouse Pavilion in Washington Park, 701 S. Franklin, Denver, Colorado. Family and friends are warmly invited to gather in her honor and share memories of the beautiful life she lived.
In lieu of flowers, a GoFundMe has been created in Traci’s memory to help support her daughter and grandson in the coming years. Traci's Memorial Fund
Traci’s guiding motto of Live, Laugh, and Love will forever echo into the hearts of all who knew her, a reminder of the joy, kindness, and love she so generously shared.
