Tim was preceded in death by his parents Melvin Udland and Norma Udland-Schmidt, his stepfather Joseph Schmidt and his older brother Melvin Jr. Tim was born in Williston, North Dakota. After high school he joined the military and proudly served his country for 26 years. While in the military his last assignment was to Colorado. He and his family decided to make it their home. After retiring from the Air Force he drove over the road for about 1 year. Tim and his family did not like being apart so he came home and was a dispatcher until he could no longer work. Tim is survived by his wife of 42 years Joan, son Jon and Daughter Abby grandchildren Shelby, Blake, Kyler and his brother Robert Udland. Tim's life revolved around his family. He loved being out in the back yard joking and laughing with family and friends. His favorite pastime was watching his kids and grandkids in the pool and listening to old music. He was also a diehard NASCAR fan who has spent many of weekends on the couch watching the race from start to finish. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of University hospital and the Denver Hospice. All of the doctors, nurses and staff were amazing. Especially his oncologist Dr. Paul Bunn and his nurse Stephane. Because of hospice care Tim was able to spend his last days at home with his family and friends. Just the way he wanted it. A Memorial Service will be held honoring Tim on Saturday, September 6th at 10:30 a.m. at Saint Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 19099 East Floyd Avenue, Aurora, CO 80013.
