Thủy Huỳnh Bryan

Thủy Huỳnh Bryan of Denver, Colorado had entered the kingdom of Heaven on Thursday of September 10, 2026, her departure subsequently had been revealed to her family and tenants on the following Friday of September 11, 2026. She was 56 years old.

Thủy was born on November 17, 1969 inside the former District 1 urban district in Sài Gòn, Vietnam. In her early life, her family moved to Long An inside the district of Cần Đước where she worked as a street food vendor selling slushies and snacks to the village children, and briefly as a factory worker for dried vermicelli. She later learned sewing skills in the former District 8 where she embraced her faith in Christ, becoming a lifelong Christian. Once her family were able to secure housing in the former District 7, Thủy made a living as a seamstress in the city fixing clothing and bags among other delicate tasks.

She met Bruce Lynn Bryan by the early 2000s and married him on April 2, 2002. In the summer of 2003, she immigrated to the U.S. and settled in Jefferson County, Colorado, where she gave birth to her only son in the Huỳnh Bryan family, Espy Samuen Huỳnh Bryan, in 2004. She was married for nearly six years before Bruce’s untimely passing, where she then moved to Denver, finding refuge and community within the Christian Vietnamese community; a new home in the Little Saigon area.

Thủy was a dedicated homemaker, seamstress, and community member, whose faith remained ironclad as her spirit throughout her life. After initially exploring various careers in Denver—including pedicure, she focused on raising her son. By mid-2010s she worked part-time as a landlord, providing rooms of her home alongside another house she bought for other locals. She also helped her immigrated niece, Hà, acclimate to American life during this time. The 2020s had been the most stressful of years for Thủy to endure in daily life, but had also been the brightest, formative years of her life as she had experienced memorable trips around Colorado with her Vietnamese Christian community and immediate family. As her finances eased up and with more time for herself she returned to studying pedicurist practice, finally securing a pedicurist license. She also sought a major renovation of her home starting in 2024, which allowed her to implement a front-lawn garden she loved dearly.

Thủy is survived by her son, Espy Samuen Huỳnh Bryan, her niece Hà Lucero and her niece’s husband Kevin Cruz Lucero (along with their children Luan and Raya), and long-time boyfriend Dũng Trịnh. She is also survived by her extended family in Vietnam and abroad: her older brother Huỳnh Ngọc Phước, her older sister Huỳnh Thị Tuyết Nhung, her remaining younger sisters Huỳnh Thị Thùy Trang and Huỳnh Thị Ngọc Thúy, and her younger brothers Huỳnh Ngọc Đức and Huỳnh Ngọc Tuấn, as well as her youngest sister, Huỳnh Thị Thúy Trinh of Australia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Huỳnh Công A and Huỳnh Thị A, alongside her younger sister Huỳnh Thị Mỹ Hạnh.
