Thomas Nathan Turner, Jr., age 76, passed away February, 24, 2021, at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood with his wife and some friends by his side. Born August 29, 1944, in Bruce, Mississippi, he was the son of Bernice Chrestman and Thomas Nathan Turner.
A graduate of Mississippi State University, he began work with the USDA Forest Service wearing many hats. Leading a fire suppression team was one of his most adventure-filled jobs. In total he served for 40 years, retiring as a Contract Specialist.

During their marriage, Tom worked in Silver City, New Mexico, and Flagstaff, Arizona, before moving to Lakewood, Colorado, in 1989. He enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, camping, and reading. Woodworking was a favorite hobby. He loved to travel with Mary Jo, friends, and relatives to places near and far. He also loved spending time with friends at church, as well as attending/serving in his church - Lochwood Christian Fellowship.
Tom is survived by his wife, Mary Jo. There were no children, only cousins. He was preceded in death by both of his parents - his dad in 1944 and his mom in 1962.
Tom was loved by all who knew him and he will be missed by all of us. We are so glad to know that God the Father, Creator of everything has welcomed Tom home
