Thomas "Tom" Lee Moore

November 27, 1952 — January 16, 2026

Thomas "Tom" Lee Moore passed away the evening of January 16, 2026, at home surrounded by his loving family after a 3-year battle with a rare form of cancer. He was 73 years old; he was born in Anson Texas to Conda Dean "CD" Moore and Mary Frances Armstrong Moore. 

Tom grew up in Farmington & Aztec, New Mexico. Tom graduated from Farmington High School then worked in the oil field as a roughneck. He went to and graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor of Science as a Petroleum Geologist and continued working in the oilfield as a Geologist. After the recession in 1982 he worked retail. He started a new career as a Territory Sales Rep. first with Osram Sylvania then with the Henry Company then retired in 2021. 

Tom met his wife Betty in Spanish class in college, they married August 9, 1982, and moved to Colorado. They were married for 43 wonderful loving happy exciting years. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Brenda Lutz & younger brother Conda Dean Jr. He is survived by his wife Betty and their two wonderful children son Rory/Cyrene Moore of Lakewood, daughter Caitlin/Matthew Mercier of Englewood, 7 beautiful grandchildren, Abrianna, Saya, Ruth, Olivia, Bjorn, Joseph Thomas & Charlotte. His oldest sister Ladene Hermance of Denver, younger brother Rick & Kathy Moore of Aztec, NM, brother in-law Perry Lutz, Bloomfield, NM & many nieces and nephews. Aunt Carolyn Cook and family in Texas. Aunt Patsy Morgan of Colorado Springs and many cousins. 

His services will be held at Horan & McConaty the Cremation Gardens 5303 East County Line Road Centennial, Colorado. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Cancer research in Tom's name. https://osinst.org/donate/
