Thomas "Tom" Leo Funk

Thomas "Tom" Leo Funk passed away on September 2, 2026. Tom was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on April 11, 1938. Tom is survived by his sister Dorothy Skirtich, and his three grandchildren Madison, Mason and Mikayla Kumnick. He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Kathy in December 2017 and his beloved daughter Karen in 2015.

After high school, he entered the United States Marine Corps where he served for four years. Tom worked for many years in grocery merchandising and retired as District Merchandise Manager for 7-11. Tom loved fishing and hunting and was nationally recognized for target marksmanship.

A service will be held on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at St. Michael the Archangel Church 19099 E. Floyd Ave, Aurora, 80013 - rosary at 10am and funeral mass at 10:30. A committal service with full military honors will be held the same day at Ft. Logan National Cemetery 4400 W. Kenyon Blvd. Denver 80236 at 1:30pm.
