Thomas J. Sweeney

Thomas J. Sweeney, 81, of Littleton passed away peacefully on September 24, 2014. Tom was born in Scotia, Nebraska on February 14th, 1933. Tom graduated from Strasburg High School and studied business from Regis College. He spent his career in the oil and gas industry. He lived and helped raise his family in Littleton for over 50 years. Tom is survived by his wife Twila Sweeney; children Mary Beth of Centennial; Barbara Ann of Thornton; and Frank of Tetonia, Idaho; grandchildren Katie, Emily, Cullen, Ryan, and Evan; and brother Bill Sweeney, of Missoula, Montana. Tom was preceded in death by his loving parents, Dan and Betty Sweeney; brothers Gene Sweeney of St. Louis, Missouri; Jerry Sweeney of Strasburg, Colorado; and grandson Mikel T. Olson of Centennial, Colorado. Tom was a loving and loyal husband, father, and friend. He will be missed by all. Visitation Wednesday, October 1, 2014, 6:00pm-7:00pm followed by a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00pm, Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial.
