Thomas J. Smaldone, Sr.

7/25/1944 - 1/5/2009. Thomas passed away last Monday night. Devoted husband, father, grand- father, and brother. His love and care made the difference in his wife's triumph over cancer. He is survived by wife, Diane Smaldone; sons, Thomas Smaldone, II and Richard Baum; daughter, Niccole Laursen; grandchildren, Michelle and Marrissa Baum, Brooke Johnson, and Madisyn and Lauryn Laursen; brothers, Don and Jerry Smaldone; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation, Sunday, 4-7 PM followed by a Rosary at 7 PM, both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. Funeral Mass, Monday, 11 AM, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 3549 Navajo St. Burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
