I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 2 Timothy 4:7

Thomas John Nash, known to many as “Tom” and lovingly as “Crash,” passed away on December 1, 2025, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, at the age of 56 after a courageous battle with metastatic melanoma. He was born on November 29, 1969, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Arlene Ann Nash and John Thomas Nash.

Tom’s early years took him across several small towns in Minnesota, shaping the adventurous and resilient spirit he carried throughout his life. He lived in Anoka until age five, then in Wilpen outside Hibbing until eight, and later in Cloverdale near Nashwauk until age fifteen. During his time in Minnesota, Tom was actively involved in the Boy Scouts of America, where he achieved the rank of Star Scout. He also played little league baseball, football, and pick-up hockey at the local rink—early signs of the athleticism and team spirit that would follow him into adulthood.

After moving to Colorado, Tom attended Huron Junior High and Northglenn High School, where he participated in football, track, and wrestling. He later attended the Colorado School of Mines, playing football on scholarship—an accomplishment that reflected both his physical grit and determination.

In 2001, Tom married Stacey, and together they raised three children, who remained the greatest pride of his life. Though Tom and Stacey divorced in 2017, their shared commitment to their children continued to be an enduring bond. Tom eventually settled in Arvada, Colorado, where he built a life rooted in loyalty, hard work, and deep personal connections. He loved the outdoors and found joy in camping, 4x4ing, fishing, softball, and waterskiing. Friends and family were always his priority. One of Tom’s defining traits was his intense and fierce loyalty. If the situation was “you and him against the world,” Tom would stand firmly between you and the world—without hesitation. He lived by honesty, loyalty, and a strong work ethic, values that guided both his personal life and relationships. Tom also gave back to his community, volunteering with 9Cares, where he supported both their food drive and health fair initiatives.

Tom is survived by his children, Austyn Elexis Nash, John Thomas (JT) Nash, and Tyler Dalton Nash; his parents, Arlene Ann Nash and John Thomas Nash; his brother, David Preston Nash; and his former spouse, Stacey Elexis Nash. He is also remembered by extended family members and many friends whose lives were enriched by his presence.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Lutheran Church, located at 10675 N. Washington St., Northglenn, CO 80233. Lunch will be served in the church basement following the service. Cremation has taken place.
