Thomas H. Maxfield

Tom Maxfield peacefully passed on May 14, 2016. He was surrounded by his loving family; beloved wife, Michele; cherished children, Marty (Jackie), Josh (Tricia), T.J (Emily), John-Paul (Carrie) and Molly (Josh) Groves. Tom loved his 12 precious grandchildren - Ryan, Katie, Luke, Eddie, Joseph, Georgia, Casey, Robby, Caroline, Nolan, Miles and George; 4 brothers, Peter (Karen), Michael (Connie), Lester (Teresa), John (Colleen); 15 wonderful nieces and nephews, and numerous cousins. Tom was preceded in death by his adored granddaughter, Caroline, and his parents, Lester and Jean. Tom was born in Scottsbluff, NE and lived most of his life in Torrington, WY. Tom was a graduate of the University of Wyoming Law School with a Masters in Law from New York University. A proud member/partner of Keller, McSwain, Wing and Maxfield Law firm (1971-1988) and Baker and Hostetler Law Firm (1988-2007), he loved and was challenged by his specialties, Transactional/Securities Law, and had the greatest respect for all of his law partners. A Viewing will be held Friday, May 20, 2016, 5:00pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, Colorado, 80246, with a Vigil following at 6:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 21, 2016, 10:00am at Christ The King Catholic Church, 830 Elm Street, Denver, Colorado, 80220. Tom's strong character, integrity, humor, warm smile and zest in pursuing his passions, including sailing, running, climbing, riding his Harley, reading, cheering on the Broncos and watching CNN News, just to name a few, will be missed by his family and many friends.
