Thomas Nelson Lambrick

September 26, 1987 — May 4, 2025

Longmont

Thomas Nelson Lambrick passed away on May 4, 2025 at the age of 37. Thomas bravely fought esophageal cancer for 14 months. He was born September 26, 1987 in Denver. He was the first born of Cynthia and Robert Lambrick. He graduated in 2006 from Grandview High School in Aurora and attended Community College of Denver.

Thomas grew up in Centennial, CO. He had a lifelong drive for service activities. He joined service-related clubs during school and earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2006. His Eagle Scout service project was to run a collection of cleaning supplies for Brent’s Place, a “home away from home” for cancer patients at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Thomas was always an independent spirit. He loved all kinds of food, watching food competition shows, taking Amtrak and other train trips, and, of course, watching the Avalanche, the Rockies and the Broncos. He was particularly happy visiting Major League Baseball parks, such as Boston’s Fenway, Chicago’s Wrigley and Toronto’s SkyDome. His dad’s Canadian roots created a lifelong love of watching hockey.

For 10+ years, Thomas worked for Safeway and King Soopers. In 2020, he made a leap from the retail world to work in the supply chain for Longmont United Hospital. He moved to Longmont and thrived in his new job and environment. He was buoyed throughout his illness by his many friends at Longmont United.

Thomas was pre-deceased by his father and best friend, Bob. He is survived by his mother, Cindy, and his sister, Jennifer, both of the Denver area. He is also survived by several aunts and many cousins in both Canada and the United States.

A visitation will be held on Friday, May 16, from 4pm to 8pm, at Horan & McConaty, 80th Ave. & Wadsworth Blvd. An internment service will be held at 10am on Saturday, May 17 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 12801 W. 44th Ave., Wheatridge. A vehicle will lead cars from the main cemetery building to gravesite.

Donations can be made in Thomas’ memory to the University of Colorado Cancer Center Research Fund (For details, 303-541-1290); Brent’s Place, 11980 E. 16th Pl., Aurora, 80010 (brentsplace.org); or National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD), Dept. 5930, PO Box 4110, Woburn, MA 01888 (rarediseases.org).
