Thomas Lee Harker, 77, of Frederick, Colorado, passed away in his sleep Tuesday, September 22nd, 2015, just 22 days after his wife of 55 years. Tom was born to Paul & Marcella Harker in Tyrone, Pennsylvania on August 22, 1938. He grew up in the hills of Mill Creek Hollow & worked with his father & grandfather in the family saw mill. Fresh out of school, Tom joined The United States Navy, sailing on the U.S.S. Norton Sound, as well as the U.S.S. Coral Sea. 4 years later, he joined The United States Army. Tom decided on tank school & became instantly captivated. Traveling the world & serving his country, he cherished being in the military. Tom met his soulmate, Sandie in California & they lived in Central Pennsylvania, as well as Ventura County, California, before settling in Colorado in 1993. Tom was an outstanding Over the Road Semi Driver, renowned for his impeccably kept truck & trailer. Tom exemplified fortitude & perseverance. He exuded generosity, he patience was unrivaled & his knowledge knew no bounds. The conversations & his advice & the precious moments he shared his fondest memories are only a fraction of what is to be missed. Although Tom's absence feels like a deep void, he will forever remain in our hearts & his lessons & his love are permanently etched in the fabric of our souls. A truly magnanimous man. Tom is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Byrd of Paris, France, his wife Sandie, his son Erick, his daughters Shelley & Jodi & his granddaughter Amanda. He is survived by his sisters, Nancy, Bonnie & Isabelle of Pennsylvania, his daughter Robin, his granddaughters Jennifer, Renee, Justine & Megan, his great grandsons Luke, Aaron & Jacob & countless loving family back in Pennsylvania, as well as a few long time friends in California. Rest now Pappy, love grandma & feel no more pain. I know we'll meet again.
