It is with a heavy heart and deep love that we announce the passing of Dr. Thomas Edward Daniel on June 21, 2026.

Tom was the son of George and Carol Daniel and was born on December 1, 1953, at Eglin Air Force Base in Okaloosa, Florida. Growing up as an Air Force brat, Tom became well-rounded, experiencing the world through many moves that helped shape him into an adaptable, multifaceted person. With his intelligent mind, school came easily to him.

Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in December of 1975 and his Master of Science degree in December of 1980 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. He later earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in May of 1981.

Tom was awarded many certificates of recognition and distinguished achievement for providing excellent preventive care and outstanding service throughout his dental career. He also volunteered for many years in humanitarian programs, serving people with disabilities, the elderly, and the medically fragile.

Tom worked at various jobs while attending college, which filled him with vast knowledge. He could give advice on any given topic when asked about it. He always had a way of making people feel welcomed, valued, and understood. He gave his heart freely through his unwavering support to everyone he came into contact with throughout his life.

His greatest legacy is found in the people who loved him and walked beside him through life.

Tom is survived by Dylan Heagney; Corrie Powell and her children, Savannah and Lainey; Ellie McIntosh and her son, Hunter; Brandon Peeples; Nikki Holwell; Danny Heagney; and Ryan Shaw.

Tom was preceded in death by his parents, George and Carol Daniel, and Lisa Heagney.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Horan & McConaty Funeral Service and Cremation, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, Aurora, Colorado 80014, on Friday, July 24, 2026, at 4:00 p.m., with light refreshments at the reception center.
