Theresa Marie Turco

With profound sadness and gentle gratitude for a life well-lived, the family of Theresa Marie Turco announces her peaceful passing on June 26, 2026, surrounded by the warmth of her family and friends at her home. Born on December 14, 1929, in Salida, Colorado, Theresa was a beacon of love, faith, and kindness, whose legacy will endure through the generations she nurtured.

The daughter of Earl and Mary Mazzulla, Theresa was raised in a household filled with love, alongside her sister, Rosalie Crawford. She graduated from Cathedral High School in North Denver, pursuing further education to become a dental assistant, a profession she embraced for eight years before dedicating herself to her growing family.

In 1952, at a USO dance, Theresa met the love of her life, Jeremiah Alfred Turco. Their love story blossomed despite the distance of Jeremiah's service in Korea. Upon his return, they were wed at Saint Catherine's Catholic Church in Denver on June 20, 1954. Together, they built a life rich in love and faith, celebrating their 72-year marriage with a family that grew to include six children: Jerry, Vincent (predeceased), Ricky, James, John, and Marie.

Their journey led them from Columbus, Ohio, back to Colorado, settling in Westminster, where they laid roots for 69 years. Theresa's home was filled with the laughter and joy of her children and later her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her legacy continues through her surviving family: her devoted husband Jeremiah; her children Jerry (Susie), Ricky (Jan), Jim (Victoria), John (Kathleen), and Marie Perez (Darrell Brunner); her daughter-in-law Sue. 30 grandchildren including their spouses; Ashley Weber (Jason), Tyler, Daniel, Vinson, Audrey, Brittany Morgan, Nick (Courteney), Cara Crudo (Tony), Jeremiah (Erika Tokuyama), Paul (Jessica), Stephen (Mallory), Marc, Katherine, Jonah (predeceased), Elizabeth Chacon, Melissa Mendoza (Phil), Chelsea DaSilva (Nick), Johnny (Chelsey), Paul Perez (Morgan), and Aleigha Perez. 26 great-grandchildren; Colby, Chase, Tyce, Cruz, Blake, Greyson, Hudson, Samantha, Elsie, Ivy, Izzabella, Caden, Jax, Eli, Nya, Uriah, Dominic, Elias, Gianni, Austin, Nolan, Adelaide, Bhodi, Paul, Colt, and Todd. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Theresa embodied the virtues of faith and community, actively participating in the Altar Rosary Society at Holy Trinity Catholic Church and contributing countless hours to the Skyline Vista PTO. Her culinary talents, especially her Italian cooking, became a cherished tradition, with holiday meals that brought everyone together. Christmas held a special place in her heart, as she lovingly decorated her home with a nativity scene and a white flocked Christmas tree.

Known for her gentle spirit and unwavering kindness, Theresa's faith in God and her ability to see the best in everyone she met left a lasting impact on those around her. She was a devoted wife, an extraordinary mother, and a cherished grandmother whose love knew no bounds.

A funeral service to celebrate Theresa's remarkable life will be held on July 9, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3100 W 76th Ave, Westminster, CO 80030. The service will begin with a rosary at 10:30 AM, followed by a mass at 11:00 AM, with a reception for family and friends to follow. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shared in Theresa's journey and invite you to join in honoring her memory.

As we mourn the loss of Theresa, we also rejoice in her reunion with her parents, Earl and Mary, her sister Rosalie, her son Vincent, and her grandson Jonah, who predeceased her. Her spirit will continue to watch over her beloved family, united in love and faith, as she rests in eternal peace.
