Theresa Lamirato

Theresa Lenore Lamirato of Wheat Ridge, Colorado passed away on October 20, 2021 at the age of 91. She was born to Susie (Demartina) Lamirato and Michael Lamirato on May 31, 1930.

She graduated from St. Joseph's High School in 1947. Theresa loved writing and reading and decided to go to Colorado University. She went on to receive her bachelor's degree, and later her master's degree from University of Northern Colorado. Theresa loved working with children, and went on to become a school teacher.

Theresa loved, music, fine art, traveling, and walking on the beach. She took great pride in all that she did. She was a member of the Mother of God Church where she volunteered to feed the poor every Wednesday. It is undeniable how greatly she will be missed, but her love will live on through all the lives that she has touched.

Theresa is survived by her siblings Margaret Pitton, Frances Soltow, Josephine Santangelo, Bernard (Mary) Lamirato, and Thomas Lamirato; along with numerous nieces and nephews and other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Susie and Michael Lamirato; her brother George Lamirato; her sister Madalene Thompson; and brother in-laws Jack Thompson, Ralph Santangelo, Bill Pitton, and Ed Soltow; and sister in-law Danielle Lamirato.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM with the Recitation of the Rosary beginning at 7:00PM that evening at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Denver, Colorado. There will be a Funeral Mass on Thursday, November 4, 2021 at 10:00AM at the Mother of God Catholic Church in Denver, Colorado. Please join the family afterwards for a reception at EVOLVE Event Center (2827 West 9th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80204).
