Theodore ""Ted"" Radey, 43, of Denver, Colorado, died in a waterskiing accident on July 31, 2016. The loves of his life were and are his surviving spouse and best friend Brandy Henley Radey, his nine-year-old daughter Evan Piper, and his five-year-old son Jack Beckett. Ted would want the focus now to be upon a very bright and happy future for Brandy, Piper and Jack. Ted was born in Michigan, grew up in Florida, and lived and loved the last twenty years in Colorado. Aside from academic success capped by a graduate degree, Ted enjoyed all kinds of outdoor sports and had entrepreneurial success: if it wasn't fishing, then it would be biking; if not the stock market, then a new start-up. He lived a full life and planned much more. Ted's many close friends and family saw him live the past three years with all sorts of pain that a number of medical specialists could not cure. Ted persevered with grace and courage when his pain would not subside. He died on a rare pain-free day. Ted's family celebrates him as having lived a life of love, loyalty, good humor and extreme honesty. Ted understood the meaning of true happiness to be bringing happiness to others, and he touched many other lives in this way. In addition to his wife and children, Ted is survived by his parents, John and Kathleen; brother Kevin and his partner Heather McTammany; sister Melissa and her husband Jim Clark, and their two daughters Berkeley and Finley. A memorial service will be held for Ted at 10:30 a.m. on August 13, 2016, in St. Dominic Parish Church, 2905 Federal Blvd., Denver, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider an extra donation to a favorite charity, and that you take a moment of your time to provide Ted's family any form of stories, pictures or videos that will heighten his children's understanding of Ted as time passes.
