Theodora Alice Wiest-Kent

Teddi Wiest-Kent, a beloved wife, friend, and community member, passed away peacefully on June 15th, 2024, at the age of 80.

 Born on January 28th, 1944, in Aurora, Illinois, Teddi was the daughter of Theodore Wiest and Lorraine Michels. She grew up in Aurora, where she developed a lifelong love for learning and adventure. Teddi earned her degree as a Medical Technologist at The University of Dayton and, later in life, obtained a master's degree at The University of Colorado, demonstrating her commitment to education and helping others.

 Teddi was a loving and generous person who adored her family, friends, and her beloved dogs. She cherished the time spent with her husband, Roy, with whom she shared a love for travel, exploring Europe, India, Africa, China, Panama, Peru, Argentina, Mexico, Egypt, and Israel. Their adventures together are a testament to their adventurous spirits and deep bond.

 An active and vibrant member of her community, Teddi was involved in several clubs, including her gourmet club, bridge club, and M&M book club. She had a special talent for organizing tennis leagues and enjoyed participating in fundraising activities for PBS.

 She is survived by her devoted husband, Roy, her sisters Judi and Paula, as well as her nieces and nephews in Panama and California.

 Despite facing significant health challenges, Teddi never lost her sense of humor, her drive to overcome adversity, and her connection with people. She remained a pillar of strength and inspiration to all who knew her.

 A memorial service to celebrate Teddi's life will be held on Wednesday, June 26th, 2024, at Christ the King Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to PBS in Teddi’s memory.

 Teddi Wiest-Kent’s legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed.
