Terrence Joseph Dougherty

Terrence Joseph Dougherty, affectionately known as "Terry", age 65, passed away December 31, 2025.  Born in Denver, Colorado, he grew up in Evergreen, then moved down to Lakewood.

The twins, Terry & Kerry, were born October 2nd, 1960, happily joining their five siblings; two more would follow.  This big Irish family meant everyting to Terry.  He was the brother who always had a smile and something funny to share, to make you feel right at home, even if you hadn't seen him for awhile.  His fourteen nieces and nephews considered "Uncle Terrry" the warmest, coolest, funniest guy in the room.  His only son, Walker, loved being with his Dad more than anything.

Terry worked hard all his life and had a solid work ethic.  He also played hard and had amaziing friends who he was loyal to, who loved his contagious smile and sense of humor.

He'll be known for his love of music (leaving a playlist that will remind us of him forever).  He also loved the Broncos, Nascar, the Avs, getting out on the golf course and cooking on his Traeger.

Terry went about the world treating everyone he met with respect and genuine kindness.  He shared that smile unconditionally.  He will be missed!!

He wanted more than anything to celebrate his life with you by having a BBQ up at O'Fallen Park near Evergreen.  This memorial of his life will be scheduled for early to mid-June.  You can check back on this obituary periodically to find the exact date and time.  We are hoping to have this information to you as soon as possible.
