Terrance Joseph Gleason

Terrance Joseph Gleason, exceptional husband, father, and grandfather, of Littleton, Colorado passed away with his family by his side on February 27, 2026, at the age of 80.

Terry is survived by his son Joe, daughter Jenny (Ben) Schreiner, grandsons Luke (21) and Jack (18), brother Chuck (Sherri) Gleason, sister-in-law Jean, and loving nieces and nephews. Terry was preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol, and his younger brother, Jim.

Terry was born in New Hampton, IA on October 30th, 1945, to John and Alveda (Bender) Gleason. He graduated in 1963 from Marian High School in Owatonna, MN. Terry graduated from St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN in 1968 completing the ROTC program and obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Natural Sciences followed with a master’s degree from the University of North Dakota. Terry was active duty in the Army from 1970-1972. He joined the Army Reserves in 1972 where he ascended to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before his retirement in 1992. Terry met his wife, Carol (Munsinger), of 48 years in 1972 and married in 1973. Terry’s career in Human Resources in the mining industry spanned many years, taking him to many places, including Colorado, to raise a family.

Terry was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Terry and his wife Carol loved taking walks on the Highline Canal Trail near their home and spending time at their cabin in Grand Lake, CO. Over the years, they also enjoyed giving a home to many different pet cats. One of Terry’s favorite things in life was the annual hunting and fishing trips he would go on with his son, Joe, son-in-law, Ben, good friend, Win, and grandsons, Luke and Jack. Later in life, Terry also enjoyed volunteering his time and efforts to the Outdoor Buddies organization that provides disabled youths and adults the opportunity to hunt and fish.

Terry adored his grandsons, Luke and Jack, and went to great lengths to provide them with everything they could ever need or want. Terry will be greatly missed by all his family and many friends. Any donations in remembrance of Terry could be made to Outdoor Buddies.
