Tammy Larimore, 66, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2024, surrounded by her loving family and friends after a short battle with cancer. Tammy is survived by her daughter, Lindsay, her mother, Betty, her partner, Walt, and their rescue dog, Aoifa. She is also survived by her siblings, Tomme Ann and John, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Kenneth.
Tammy was a dearly loved member of the local Irish & Scottish communities and served in several ministries at St. John’s Cathedral in Denver, Colorado. She was an avid study and mentor of Christian theology, a strong supporter of the Abrahamic Initiative, a regular volunteer for Irish and Scottish events, played drums in two local Irish bagpipe & drum bands, and was passionate about animal rescue. Mostly, Tammy loved knitting, reading theological and political books, and traveling. She traveled the world with her daughter and many friends, visiting 14 different countries. Ireland was where she felt most at home.
Tammy will be remembered for her sense of humor, quick wit, and unwavering kindness.
Her funeral will be held at 12:00pm on October 29, 2024 at St. John’s Cathedral, 1350 N. Washington Street Denver, CO 80203, followed by burial at 1:45pm, at Golden Cemetery, 755 Ulysses St., Golden, Colorado 80401. Reception will be held at 3:30pm at Clancy’s Irish Pub, 7000 West 38th Avenue Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the following pet rescues: Moms And Mutts and The Asher House.
