Sylvia Cornhoff

Sylvia Cornhoff, 85 years old, died peacefully in her sleep at home, holding her husband's hand on Friday, January 27, 2023.

Born May 31, 1937 in Las Vegas, New Mexico, she lived in multiple cities and made Aurora her home in 1972. Her love for New Mexico ran deep and can be seen when you walk into her bedroom.

Sylvia was a parishioner at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church and lived her life in faith. She walked with the Lord in everything she did and set an example for us all of the peace you can find if you have faith. This faith not only helped carry her to her final resting place with the Lord, it also helped us be at peace knowing she was going home.

Sylvia was a true lady, respected by all who knew her. Her loving, kind soul can be found in all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She had a way of making us all feel special: each child, grandchild, and great grandchild, felt they were her favorite.

Survivors include the love of her life, James Cornhoff. Daughter, Jean (spouse George), their children, James (Jimmy), Kathryn (Katie) and Brooke Cunningham, daughter, Jennifer, her son Dylan (spouse Maria) and their children, Mateo and Sophie Cornhoff, son, Neil (spouse Anna), their children Brenna, Drake and Ember Cornhoff. Neil’s daughter, Alissa (spouse Martel), their child Augustus Oakley.
