In Loving Memory of Suzanne Marie Reed August 10th 1948 - June 17th 2026
It is with deep love and gratitude that we celebrate the life of Suzie, whose warmth, kindness, and bright spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Suzie was an eternal optimist who approached life with curiosity, creativity, and a thoughtful heart. She had a remarkable ability to find beauty in everyday moments and to make others feel seen, valued, and loved. Her witty and wise words both written and spoken will be remembered and cherished. Her imagination, compassion, and gentle wisdom enriched the lives of her family, friends, and countless others throughout the years.
For more than five decades, Suzie enjoyed a distinguished career as a flight attendant, beginning in the 1960s and continuing until her retirement in 2018. She embraced the adventure of travel, the joy of meeting people from all walks of life, and the opportunity to care for others wherever her journeys took her. Her professionalism, grace, and welcoming smile made a lasting impression on colleagues and passengers alike.
Above all, Suzie’s greatest joy was her family. She was the devoted wife of 55 years to her beloved husband Bob. They met in 1969 on Waikiki Beach when Bob ran by accidentally kicking sand on her, they could have never known that moment would kick start the life they built together. A life filled with travel, love, partnership, laughter, and unwavering support. Together they created a home where family always came first.
Suzie was a loving and dedicated mother to her three sons, whom she guided with patience, encouragement, and endless affection. She took immense pride in the men they became and treasured every moment spent together.
Her role as Grammy brought her some of life’s greatest happiness. She adored her seven grandchildren and delighted in celebrating their accomplishments, encouraging their dreams, and creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts forever.
Suzie leaves behind a legacy of optimism, creativity, generosity, and love. She showed those around her how to face life’s challenges with grace, how to care deeply for others, and how to embrace each day with hope and gratitude.
Though she will be profoundly missed, her spirit lives on in the family she cherished, the friends she inspired, and the countless lives she touched. Her love remains a guiding light, and her memory will be treasured always.
“When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return”
