Susan Marie Brunner

With hearts full of love, we celebrate the extraordinary life of Susan Marie (Miller) Brunner, 69, of Littleton, Colorado who danced into eternity on October 2, 2025, at Littleton Hospital, surrounded by family.

Born on February 29, 1956, in Denver, Colorado to Gladys Miller, Susan grew up with a natural curiosity and desire for knowledge, which led her to read everything she could, learning something new everyday. Susan’s early life consisted of learning the piano and keeping tabs on her younger brother. Susan was a lifetime learner, attending George Washington High School, graduating in 1974. Then attending Colorado State University, ultimately choosing family over education for a time. Fast forward to 1998, Susan graduated from Metropolitan State University of Denver with a Bachelor of Science Degree. Susan continued her education, Graduating from University of Colorado, Denver in 2006 with a Master of Arts Degree.

Susan began working at the Regional Transportation District (RTD) in 1978 working as a Contract Specialist. In December of 1981, a young Mark Brunner, Vale South Dakota, an Electrician working on a remodel, noticed a beautiful young lady. Working up the courage, Mark asked Susan to dinner in January of 1982, the rest is history. Trips and adventure, lots of bowling, Bronco’s football, concerts, house parties with great costumes led Mark and Susan to marry on September 15, 1984, the couple welcomed their first child, Christopher Brunner born on August 22, 1986. The family of three grew to four, welcoming their daughter, Stephanie (Brunner) Trudeau born on March 21, 1989.

Susan was the heart of the family, sarcastic and witty, but always “right”. Susan always instilled wisdom and character into her children. Both Christopher and Stephanie were married in 2013. Susan was blessed with an amazing family, married to Mark for 41 years, a Daughter-in-Law Amber Brunner and Son-in-Law Austin Trudeau. Susan was also blessed with two amazing grandsons. Braiden Brunner and Cole Trudeau. Susan’s children were the light of her life.

Susan is survived by her mother, Gladys Miller, husband, Mark Brunner; children, Christopher Brunner, Stephanie (Brunner) Trudeau and two grandsons, who adored their Grandma. She joins her brother Steven Miller along with countless Aunts, Uncles and Grandparents in eternal rest.
