Steven Christy Null

Steven Christy Null was born on April 20, 1940 and peacefully passed away on his birthday, April 20, 2026

Steve was born in PA and spent his childhood on the East coast, the eldest of five children. As a child he was active in Boy Scouts, ultimately achieving the rank of Eagle Scout.

After his education at the University of No. Carolina, Steve joined the Air Force in 1962. He loved his country and served several tours in Vietnam. He received a medal for heroism for voluntarily risking his life when removing and defusing missiles at a fighter bomber crash site. After his military retirement in 1985, Steve worked for the Fed. Gov.; Dept. of Defense, until retirement in 2018.

In his formative years Steve was an avid runner having completed several marathons and ultramarathons. He also hiked and climbed many 14 thousand foot mountains, sharing these accomplishments with loyal and adventurous comrades.

Steve had many great friends and enjoyed golf, fine wine, travel with friends, country music and burgers at Bud’s! He will be remembered for his generosity, loyalty, dedication to work, bravery, determination, sense of humor, and also for his love of red wine and fast cars!

Steve is predeceased by his parents, two sisters and son, Steven “Chris” Null, Jr.

Steve is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Sherri, his son, Jeffrey (Laura) and granddaughter, Rachel, his grandson, Christian, his brother Jimmy (Sharon), and sister, Vicky.

Steve loved spending hours on the deck with his wife, Sherri, as they tended flowers, and watched golfers and hummingbirds. He will be dearly missed.
