Steven James Davis

Steven Davis of Northglenn, Colorado, was born on April 23, 1963, in Wichita, KS to Robert & Patricia Davis.

An unknown medical event caused Steve to fall from his bike while he was riding with his son Lachlan on September 30th. He passed away from his extensive injuries on October 3rd. His organ donations have already benefited the lives of people that did not have the privilege of knowing him and yet will carry with them his generous spirit.

Steve graduated from Northglenn HS in 1981 where he played soccer. He graduated from CSU in 1985 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management. He spent his career managing design phase and pre-construction services on commercial projects for various prominent construction companies along the front range.

He is survived by his mother; his wife of 12 years, Wendy; his children: Lachlan and Taylor, whom he loved fiercely from the moment they were born, step-daughter Chelsea Miller; sisters: Norma Davis, and Rona Mortensen and Rona’s husband Kelly; and 4 nephews; and other brother and sister-in-laws.

He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, as well as his father. He shared a special bond and many common passions with his father such as fly fishing and cars, especially fast ones.

Steve was a loving father, husband, and friend to all. Many of us have friends from various stages in our lives, Steve was one of those unique individuals that carried a posse of friends from childhood into adulthood with him – many of which gathered to say good bye to him in his last days. He also had special colleagues throughout his career that became close and trusted friends. To all of those your loyalty, support, and love meant the world to Steve.

Steve's favorite place to decompress was Steamboat Springs, and his favorite activity to do there was riding bicycles with Wendy & Lachlan (having a patio beer was perhaps a distant 2nd). Steve and his family were in ""The Boat"" mere days before his death enjoying time together and his last post on his Facebook page were pictures of he and Lachlan riding bikes together.

Peddling through life is the way Steve would want us to remember him – ""with clear eyes and a full heart"".

A life celebration is planned for 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct 12th at the Church Ranch Event Center at 10200 (Old) Wadsworth Blvd, Westminster 80021. Steve's nephew Community Pastor Mike Yager of Ecclesia Houston (Texas) will officiate.
