Stella Pauline Zukas, 93, of Littleton, died on March 21, 2015 in Centennial, Colorado. Stella Pauline Chorney was born in Upper Nazareth Township (Bath) Pennsylvania on August 21, 1921. She attended Julia Richman High School located at East 67th Street and Second Avenue Manhattan, New York. Her 1940 high school yearbook has this quote next to her picture; ""Stella is the essence of good nature. Nothing disturbs her happy-go lucky manner"" She was married to Joseph Thomas Zukas on February 14, 1942 at the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in New York City Stella was a teller at Bankers Trust in Queens New York during the 60's and 70's after which she started a health food store on Union Turnpike, in Queens, New York. She was a featured soloist for Sunday Services at Veterans Hospital New York February 1973 to January 1984. She also participated in a local acting group that performed musicals for seniors, and played the piano, guitar, mandolin, and harmonica. Stella is survived by her 2 sisters, Olga & Irene, 2 sons Walter, & Tom, 5 grandchildren Mathew, Nathan, Raymond, Harrison & Claire and 3 step-grandchildren Julie, Shelly & Mark. A Memorial Service for Stella will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015, 11:00am at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road in Centennial, Colorado.
