Stefanie Rowlands Steggs, 50, died in Aurora, Colorado after a two year battle with cancer. 

She was born in North Platte, Nebraska on May 27, 1976 to Donald and Karen Rowlands.

Stefanie graduated from St. Patrick’s High School in 1994, then attended the University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduating with a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Development in 1999. She subsequently obtained a masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from the University of Nebraska-Kearney in 2002.

While in Kearney she met the love of her life, Jason P. Steggs.

Stefanie and Jason were married at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on December 28, 2002.

They have two daughters, Eiley and Maizie.

Stefanie was employed by Cherry Creek Public Schools working with pre-school children.

She is survived by her husband, Jason, and her two children, Eiley and Maizie; her parents, Donald and Karen Rowlands; and her sister, Rebekah (Rowlands) Hansmeier.
