Shirley Kleidon

Shirley Katherine Bennett Kleidon, 75 years old, of Westminster, Colorado, passed away on Thursday February 3rd, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph, and Grace Bennett, of Tuscaloosa Alabama.  She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Lee Kleidon, also of Westminster, her brother James Bennett, of Honor, Michigan, her blended family of adult children, Layle Dean Boatwright, of Loxley, Alabama, Shannon Lynn Bennett Dean, of Clinton, Tennessee, and Brian LeRoy Kleidon of Mundelein, Illinois.  She was Grandmother to Ashlynn Sierra, Griffin Boatwright, Raegan Boatwright, Patrick House, Morgan Kleidon, Elizabeth Kleidon, and Nash Kleidon.  She was Great-grandmother to Isabelle Cabral and Jace Cabral.

Shirley was a graduate of Tuscaloosa High School and held a bachelor's degree from the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.

Much of her working career was spent with First Bank Holding Company.  Beginning in data processing and ending in applications programming.  Shirley retired in 2000.

Shirley was an expert seamstress and a consummate crafter of crochet, knitting, and counted cross stitch.  But her real passion was collecting dolls and making doll clothing.

Her wisdom, intellect, and companionship will always be cherished and sorely missed.
