Sherrie L. Wolf

Sherrie Wolf, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2026, at the age of 77.

Born on December 10, 1948, in Boulder, CO, to Eddie and Marie Martin, Sherrie spent her childhood traveling the world as the daughter of a military family, living in places such as Bogotá, Colombia, and the Azores. These experiences nurtured a lifelong love of history, travel, and discovery.

Sherrie devoted her life to her family and to serving others. She worked as a civil servant at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and later as a librarian with the Aurora Public Libraries, where she shared her passion for knowledge with countless people. One of her greatest joys was leading story times for children at the library, where her warmth, kindness, and love of reading touched many young lives.

Outside of her work, Sherrie found joy in preserving family memories through scrapbooking and pursuing her passion as a rock hound, always eager to explore, collect, and learn about the treasures of the natural world.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary J. Wolf; her daughter, Anne-Marie Strong; her son, Donald Eddie Lear; her daughter-in-law, Jane Wolf; her cherished grandchildren, Brett, Lauren, Sarah, Emma, Jordan, and Christopher; and her treasured great-grandchildren, Theo, Lucy, and Deontay.

Sherrie will be remembered for her patience, quiet strength, gentle humor, unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, and the love she freely gave to her family. Her infectious smile and joyful laughter could brighten any room and brought comfort and happiness to those around her. Her kindness, wisdom, and enduring spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
