Sheila Baird Engels

Sheila Baird Engels, 67, of Strasburg, Colorado, passed away unexpectedly on September 15, 2015. Sheila is survived by her daughter Erica (Eric) Leech; brothers; Bill (Sandy) Baird, Bob (Sherry) Baird, and Andy(Cindy Bittner); sisters; Julie (Dana) Brandt and Laurie (Chris) Jaeger; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Mary, and her husband, Bill. Sheila was born on January 22, 1948 to Andrew and Mary Baird in Denver, Colorado. She was raised with her brothers and sisters; Bill, Bob, Andy, Julie and Laurie. In 1979 she married William (Bill) and in 1981 they welcomed their daughter, Erica. Sheila loved to travel and took many trips with her family. She loved reading, relaxing on the deck, and the outdoors. She had a great laugh and everywhere she went people loved her fun personality and smile. Sheila had a caring nature and loved her family very much. She also loved animals; dogs, cats, furry grandchildren, and cabin chipmunks. Her caring heart extended to people she didn't know as she was a frequent blood donor. Sheila was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother, sister and aunt. Her family and friends greatly miss Sheila but are comforted by their many fond memories.
