Shawn T. Sankey

55, of Commerce City, passed away July 16, 2011. He is survived by wife, Kristen; daughter, Carra and brother, Bruce Sankey of Colorado Springs. Preceded in death by his parents, James & Carra Sankey. Shawn was a veteran of the Air Force where he received the Medal of Commendation. His greatest passions in life were meteorology, car tuning and athletics. He was an adoring father and was very discerning with his friendships. He cherished those he kept close and treated all with respect & dignity. Funeral Service will be Tuesday, 10:30 AM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue, (at Parker Rd), Aurora, Colorado 80014 with burial following at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver, Colorado 80235.
