Sharyn Ann (Adams) King, 72, of Broomfield, CO passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2026, surrounded by her family.

Born on November 20, 1953 in Patterson, NJ to Sarah Jane (Hogentogler) Adams and David Reeves Adams, Sharyn grew up in Fair Lawn, NJ. As a young woman, Sharyn was an award-winning baton twirler whose talent took her to competitions across the country and won her two New Jersey State Championships.

Sharyn embraced life with independence and spirit. In her early twenties, Sharyn embarked on a life-changing adventure when she moved to Denver, CO. There she married Kermit King in 1978 and together they welcomed twin daughters, Joy Nicole and Jessica Faith in 1981.

Sharyn found joy in road trips, holiday celebrations, adopting homeless animals, long naps, supporting her favorite charities, and taking cruises with family and friends. Sharyn was generous, kind, and loyal to her loved ones.

Sharyn was preceded in death by her parents and by dear friends, Carl Adamire and Cynthia Gorey. She is survived by her husband, Kerm; daughters, Joy and Jessica; brother David Adams, Jr.; and dear friend, Carol Hartman.

A memorial service will be held at the Apex Community Recreation Center, 6842 Wadsworth Blvd, Arvada, CO, on July 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM with a reception to follow.

Sharyn will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, generous heart, and deep love for her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
