Sharon Faye Michels

Sharon Faye (Hoover) Michels, born in Cuba, Kansas October 1940, was a beloved mother, grandmother, and sister. She worked as Cosmetologist for many years where she also modeled for competitions. She later spent several years as a visual merchandiser for a large retail chain before devoting her time to being a homemaker. She is survived by her son Tony (Hiromi) Beasley; brother Norris (Carol) Hoover; two grandchildren Michelle and Robert. 
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband Earl "Skip" Michels; daughter Cindy Marcantonio; sister Charlene Melander. 
Sharon was a three year cancer survivor and ultimately succumbed to multiple illnesses. 
Sharon would occasionally enjoy a ride with her son on his motorcycle. She would often reminisce about her love of going out dancing with friends. Before cancer treatments she would often drive herself to Nebraska and Kansas to visit with classmates and friends. Sharon really looked forward to Family Reunions and she will be dearly missed at the next one.
Her granddaughter is quoted as saying "Today another angel has joined your ranks. Please keep Nana safe and out of trouble. She can be a little feisty sometimes."
Celebration of Life will be held on December 15 at 11:00 am at Horan & McConaty 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80227.
