In Loving Memory of Sharon Alane Maness

October 12, 1951 - August 2, 2026

We celebrate the life and impact of Sharon, who was 74 years old when she was welcomed home to Heaven on August 2nd after a challenging journey of recovering from a heart attack.

Sharon lived her life with the understanding that it belonged to Christ, striving each day to align with Scriptures through unwavering faith, kindness, and compassion. She found strength in prayer, comfort in God’s word, and joy in serving others. Her faith guided every step of her journey, and she shared that hope with everyone she met.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her gentle spirit, overflowing joy, warm smile, and generous heart left a lasting impact on countless lives.

While Sharon will be missed, we rejoice in the fact that she is healed and worshiping her Savior face to face, reuniting with those who went before her and meeting the “Great cloud of witnesses”. She has challenged us to continue her legacy by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ, investing in others, and being a light where needed. Her legacy will be carried on by her husband, Rick Maness, and their children: Lynn (Gerrit) Lemmen, Wayne Maness, Becky Maness, April Maness, and Ryan (Heather) Maness. Grandchildren include Daniel (Diérdre) Maness, Suzannah (Ethan) Southwick, Gideon Maness, Taylor Stapp, Ava Lemmen, Eliana Maness, and Leland Maness. Great-grandchildren are Dalinar Maness and Éowyn Maness. She is also survived by her siblings: Donna Sesow, David Adams, and Gail Saravalli, along with many friends and extended family members.

A celebration of her life will be held on September 4th at 10:00 a.m. at Southwest Community Church (4001 S. Wadsworth Blvd, Littleton, CO 80123), where family and friends will gather to praise God for her life in a worship service. A reception will follow the service. Interment will be at 2:30 p.m. at Fort Logan National Cemetery (4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver, CO 80236). Dress is business casual with a focus on celebrating life, not sorrow for both events.

In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be made to one of her favorite charities or mission organizations, or to one you support, so that her legacy continues and heaven gets a little bit more crowded:

We look forward to seeing you there and celebrating the life and life and impact that God has given Sharon

“And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.”
