On July 23, 2025, Sean Sullivan took his final career promotion, advising God on how to better manage Earth. He joins his 80s heroes Hulk Hogan and Ozzy Osbourne, in line at the Pearly Gates.
Sean Michael Sullivan was born on June 8,1972 on Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio to Maureen (O’Hagan) and Patrick Sullivan. Younger brother Brendan joined the family two years later.
Sean was a proud graduate of Regis Jesuit High School where he finished the high school curriculum early, earned his Eagle Scout designation, played rugby, and worked various part-time jobs.
Sean attended Colorado State University where he was a co-founder of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Other extra-curricular activities were skydiving, mountain biking, and terrorizing the all-you-can-eat buffets in Fort Collins. He graduated with his BS in Business in 1994 and master’s degree in international business in 1995.
His most important achievement at CSU was meeting his future wife, Kristi Mouton. Sean and Kristi were married on September 27, 1996. They have two boys, Brian Michael and John Patrick, of whom Sean was very proud.
Sean’s management consulting career included roles at CH2M Hill, Ernst & Young, Cap Gemini, Businessedge, Synchronoss, and KPMG. His final positions at KPMG were Advisory Market Sales Leader and Lead Partner for the T-Mobile account.
Sean’s community service encompassed serving as a steering committee member of Denver’s KPMG Family for Literacy, involvement with Mile High United Way, co-founder of the KPMG Mental Health steering committee, and KPMG Abilities in Motion Advisory board member.
He enjoyed events like the Polar Plunge, Donor Dash, and the KPMG old-person relay team at the Colfax Marathon. Sean never tired of hosting 5k after-parties and served free cocktails to Turkey Trot runners from his front yard for many years.
Sean was an ardent, if disappointed, supporter of CSU and Denver Broncos football. Less depressing was his fondness for the Texas Longhorns. He loved live music, skiing, hiking, military history, red wine in the hot tub, German cars, and beach vacations.
Sean is survived by his wife Kristi; sons Brian and John; mother Maureen Saint John and her husband Jim; brother Brendan (Jennifer); nieces Haley, Sarah, and Kaitlyn; nephews Michael and Brock; stepmother Wanda; sister-in-law Catherine Tidd; and parents-in-law Mike and Alice Mouton.
He was pre-deceased by his father, Patrick Sullivan and brother-in-law/partner-in-mischief Brad Tidd.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Mile High United Way, KPMG’s Family for Literacy or the charity of your choice.
