IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sean Christopher Patrick
Cleary
May 28, 1968 – December 12, 2025
Celebration of Life
Grace Fellowship Of Lakewood
12:00 - 3:30 pm (Mountain (no DST) time)
Sean Christopher Patrick Cleary, who departed this world on December 12th, 2025, in Lakewood, Colorado, leaves behind an irreplaceable void in the lives of all who were fortunate enough to know him. A man of profound character and unwavering spirit, Sean’s legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of his loved ones.
Born on May 28th, 1968, in Roswell, New Mexico, Sean spent his formative years amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Aspen, Colorado. It was there, cradled by the majestic Rockies, that he forged a deep and abiding love for the great outdoors—a passion that remained a cornerstone of his character throughout his life.
Sean was the cherished son of the late William Joseph Cleary, affectionately known as Bill, and his loving mother, Sandra Kay Cleary (Trebing), who survives him. He was a devoted brother to Kelly (Jorge) Cleary-Gonzalez and a respected half-brother to Brian (Tina) Swinford of Herrin, Illinois.
On August 9th, 2008, Sean found his soulmate in Sarah Jane Napton Cleary, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey, marked by love and partnership. Their union was further blessed with the arrival of their son, Logan William Cleary, born in May 2009. Sean graciously embraced his role as a loving and dedicated stepfather to Tiffany Michelle Dunmire, born in November 1992, treating her with the same affection he bestowed upon his own. Sean was "papa" to his darling three step-grandchildren, Talia age 9, Nadia age 6, and Oryon age 19 months.
A man of extraordinary talent and unwavering dedication, Sean’s passion for mechanics took root at an early age. Though his formal schooling took place in Aspen, his true education began under the guidance of his father, who imparted the intricate craft of engine machining to him. This foundational knowledge led Sean to proudly establish "Sean’s Engine Service" in May 1982. His commitment to excellence propelled the business to flourish, ultimately relocating to Lakewood, Colorado, in May 2007. Over the years, it evolved into SPC PERFORMANCE & DIESEL, and later SLS PERFORMANCE & DIESEL LLC—a testament to his relentless pursuit of perfection and innovation within his field.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Sean was a man of diverse and heartfelt passions. An ardent NASCAR enthusiast, he never missed a race and maintained a singular loyalty to the sport. Additionally, he found immense joy in the company of his beloved boxer dogs, who brought light and laughter into his life. The meticulous work of building engines and transmissions became an art form he wholly mastered. The mountains remained a constant presence throughout his life, offering both solace and adventure. Sean was an honorary member of AA from November 18, 2002 until his passing on December 12, 2025.
Above all, Sean’s greatest love was reserved for his family and friends; his heart was boundless in its loyalty and affection for those he held dear. In this life and the next, Sean Christopher Patrick Cleary will be remembered not only as a mechanic of engines but also as a craftsman of human connections, leaving behind a legacy of love, passion, and inspiration that will endure through the memories of all who were privileged enough to share in his remarkable journey.
We invite all who wish to honor Sean’s memory and celebrate the incredible life he lived to join us for a Celebration of Life service.
